9 of the Midlands’ best lunch offers

Time to ditch the diet already. Nine Great Food Club-recommended venues, including two with a Michelin star, are running oh-so-tempting lunch offers that start in January 2015.
The eight listed below are running ‘Lunch For Even Less’ from Monday and Saturday, mainly from January 12 until the end of March, although dates vary slightly from place to place. Each is offering a set-price lunch menu with two courses from as little as £12.95 (prices for two courses listed below):

Fischer’s at Baslow Hall
A ninth venue – Michelin-starred Fischer’s at Baslow Hall in Derbyshire – is again this year running a set lunch menu priced at £20.15 for two courses (pudding is an extra £7). Its £20.15 lunch menu will be available from 12 noon till 1.30pm, Monday to Friday, from January 20 until November 27, 2015. Dishes include Stilton ravioli with celeriac remoulade and hazelnut sauce; Derbyshire pheasant with braised red cabbage and roasted roots; and coconut panna cotta with passion fruit curd and pineapple.
