Bread & Pullet – good British tapas in Northampton

I recently enjoyed a delicious and relaxed meal at the newly opened Bread & Pullet restaurant in Northampton. It serves British-style tapas and, being Italian, I love sharing plates and platters – small cicchetti bites that allow you to try a little of everything – so I couldn’t wait to visit.

Bread & Pullet opened in December 2015 – a new project for head chef Adam Church, his partner Sophie Drage and their former boss Tom Hewer (owner of the Franks Group). It is a beautifully decorated restaurant: the dining room feels warm yet spacious and there’s an open kitchen area towards the rear. I enjoyed a fantastic meal and the prosecco was good too (an important factor for me!)

This restaurant aims to showcase the best local suppliers, craft beers and British spirits. Everything served is freshly made by chef Adam and his team (who are home-grown too). If you enjoy something a little different or just like grazing amongst friends, this place is for you. Bread & Pullet is at 176 Wellingborough Road in Northampton, or call the team on 01604 638520 to find out more and to reserve your table.

I think I tasted and enjoyed more or less everything on the menu and specials board, with my favourites being the baked beetroot and salt beef hash. So delicious! Adam – please arrange a takeaway service as soon as you can – just reading through the menu again has me salivating.
