Beer, beer and more beer (sorry)

My name is Matt and I like to talk about beer. A lot. I’m not sure why. The way things have developed, in addition to running Great Food Club, I also work closely with Everards Brewery and edit a new magazine called Craft Beer Rising Magazine. For me, this is wonderful. Less so for my wife, who doesn’t quite share my passion for our national drink.
For me, beer is loaded with history and tradition (think London Porter, IPA, Britain’s family brewers, etc.); it also comes in an incredible array of styles and flavours. It’s a big part of the food and drink world, and it’s enjoying a massive revival at the moment.
But that said I probably talk about it a bit too much. As the voice of Great Food Club I should really be more balanced.
Today and tomorrow I’m touring eight Yorkshire breweries with Craft Beer Rising Magazine. I can’t wait. But I’ll try not to talk about it too much.
