If you appreciate authentic Bangladeshi cooking then you should visit Pundits. It is a firm favourite of discerning locals and visitors, and is situated within Upton upon Severn’s picturesque centre. The old-world charm of the medieval town complements its specialist boutique shops and businesses, while Upton Marina provides a charming mooring for those enjoying boating holidays.
Created in 1996 by its proud owner Sultan, Pundits is more than just a place to eat and has become part of the community. At the time of writing, Pundits is the number one restaurant in Worcestershire on Trip Advisor.
This thriving eatery has a lovely atmosphere and can get quite busy, particularly when local events or festivals like the jazz and folk festivals at Malvern’s Royal Show Ground are taking place. It’s advisable to book to avoid disappointment.
It’s popular because it serves excellent, authentic Bangladeshi cuisine prepared and served with passion. The delightful walled garden for al fresco dining is also a big draw. The varied menu includes signature or fusion dishes alongside the classics, all made using fresh herbs and spices. All dishes are preservative free.
The open kitchen creates a heady atmosphere with its sizzling pans, hotplates and tandoor oven and is the focal point of the restaurant.
