All Mine Cakes (By The Lake)
A battle with her husband over that last bit of cake led to Hayley Schofield thinking of the name for her business!
All Mine Cakes launched in 2013 from humble beginnings. Hayley was a deputy sister at Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre, but had a passion for baking. She took a Saturday job with Newfield Diary baking their cakes and taking on wholesale orders.
After quitting her nursing job, Hayley started a Friday cake club. Wanting everyone to enjoy her treats, she focused on gluten- and dairy-free bakes, creating her own delicious ‘free-from’ recipes.
Walking in Maythorne one day, Hayley spotted an old fishing hut. After a lot of work, she opened All Mine Cakes By The Lake in July 2018. The old fishing hut is now a beautiful, thriving tearoom next to a lake, moments from the Southwell Trail.
Their ethos is to source the freshest, best quality ingredients – local and seasonal where possible – to create a delicious and exciting menu. It includes all her award-winning cakes, seasonal favourites, new creations, coffee roasted by Nottingham’s 200 Degrees and Bird & Blend Tea.
A completely gluten-free zone, All Mine Cakes By The Lakes is delightfully decorated and the view across the fishing lake is dreamy. It’s enhanced by a huge heated parasol so you can enjoy al fresco dining while keeping toasty warm. Dogs are welcome. Check the website for opening hours.
