Working from their Chocolate Atelier in Brackley, Northants, master chocolatier Stefaan Moyaert and his wife Mervi create a luxury range of chocolates using the best ingredients.
Stefaan learned the art of chocolate making in Brussels and honed his skills at such places as Patisserie Mahieu in Brussels and Chocolaterie de L’Opéra in Antwerp. Luckily for us he then settled in the beautiful south Northants countryside.
No matter what kind of chocolate you crave, Belfair make something to satisfy that urge, whether it’s boxes of filled chocolates, truffles, bars or bags of buttons.
My personal favourite is the dark chocolate bar with black pepper: deliciously smooth chocolate with a delicate spicy, savoury aftertaste of black pepper.
As well as selling exquisite chocolates, Stefaan and Mervi also run chocolate courses from their Brackley base. Choose from either a chocolate-tasting course where you also learn the theory of chocolate making, or try your hand at making chocolates with the more hands-on practical ‘fine chocolate creation’ course.
