Bray’s Cottage Pork Pies

Summer picnics, Christmas buffets and English suppers would not be complete without a traditional good quality pork pie. Thankfully in Norfolk we have the legendary Bray’s Cottage Pork Pies to keep us in supply. And now they offer a fantastic delivery service too, with 10% off for GFC members!

Sarah Pettegree, founder and owner of Bray’s Cottage, is a firm believer that food is for sharing and that you should eat the best that you possibly can. Sarah is proud to produce something that has famously been called “the perfect pie”. Many of us would vouch for that.

Bray’s Cottage Pork Pies are hand made in Norfolk using best-quality pork, a little cured bacon to give the pies their distinctive smokey note, and a special array of hand mixed herbs and spices. All this is encased with hot water crust pastry that attracts attention from far and wide.

These outstanding pork pies are available throughout Norfolk and around the UK in cafes, tea rooms and farm shops. In Norfolk you can get Bray’s Cottage Pork Pies from Back to the Garden in Letheringsett, Creake Farmers’ Market and Heydon Village Tea Shop to name but a few. See website for full list of stockists.

Celebration pies and wedding pies are also available by popular demand.

I was wondering how ‘best-quality pork’ can is defined, please? Is it organic/free-range or factory farmed? Would it be an idea to make this clear on the website?
    Thank you.

    • Avatar Sarah Pettegree says:

      Hi Julia,

Thanks for getting in touch. The pork we use is local Norfolk outdoor pork but not organic, and when we next update the website I’ll bear your suggestion in mind.

      Thanks again,

Some of the best pork pies I’ve tried

  3. Avatar Maggie Taylor says:

I adore Sarah Pettigree’s pork pies. Lovely crunchy pastry and delicious flavour varieties. So satisfying to eat on a picnic or at any time. Worth going out of your way for. Now can be ordered online too – so no more withdrawal symptoms.

  4. Avatar Jack Thorpe says:

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a selection of Bray’s Cottage pork pies.
Unlike any pie you’ve ever had, Sarah’s creations will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about pork pies.

The Onion Marmalade is my favourite, but you can’t go wrong with any of the flavours.

  5. Matt Wright Matt Wright says:

Bray’s Cottage pork pies are truly delicious. I say that as someone who lives in Melton Mowbray – the UK’s Pie Capital! I recently sampled the full range and genuinely struggled to avoid constant snacking. Try their Pies By Post service. You won’t be disappointed.
