Tucked amongst Exmouth Market’s bustling collection of shops and boutiques is without doubt one of the best bagel stops in town. Formerly a record shop, Brill’s hippy hybrid between music store and café is a unique alternative to London’s somewhat saturated café and coffee shop scene.
Delivered daily by bike and ready to fill with an array of mouthwatering ingredients, owner Jeremy Brill collects his doughy delights from Brick Lane, as well as sourcing Seven Seeded’s locally fermented artisan bread and Forman’s London smoked salmon.
With specials such as the avocado-and-cheddar-laden Everything Bagel, Brill’s appetising menu offers nutritious and delicious options throughout the day. What’s more, in addition to their own creations, the menu also allows customers to build bespoke bagels using any combination of available ingredients.
And if a doorstep bagel doesn’t stop you in your tracks, then rest assured that the stars of Brill’s highly-acclaimed cake counter will catch your eye. Expect everything from vegan cookies to cream cheese topped carrot cake and sinfully indulgent Oreo brownies.
On a final note, if Brill’s food offerings aren’t enough of a temptation to visit, then coffee lovers can count on Jeremy and his team to brew what’s arguably one of the best flat whites around.
