Café Black is a small, light and airy independent café in the centre of Stamford. Child friendly and popular with shoppers, it is an ideal place to stop for breakfast, lunch or coffee and cake.
The breakfasts and cakes in particular get excellent reviews. A roast chicken kebab salad made a tasty, light and healthy lunch followed by a great cappuccino that needed a spoon to deal with a particularly thick crema. The menu is varied with a good range of toasties, paninis, salad wraps, healthy brunch dishes, salads, hot hoagies and of course, cakes.
Café Black is proud to be independent – text on the window outlines their commitment to customers and not shareholders. Friendly staff reinforces this message. There is a small outside eating area too – great for people watching whilst enjoying that coffee!
