Campfire Trailer Taproom & Street Food
Campfire Trailer Taproom & Street Food is a quirky spot in Swadlincote. Tucked away on an industrial estate, it’s the sort of hidden gem you’ll be delighted you discovered and will tell your friends about. It’s open on Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays – on Friday and Saturday, there’s a ‘cookout’ party which features a guest street food supplier from the local area. This could be anything from chicken wings to plant-based dishes. Leicester’s taco street food company, Smoqued was also recently in residence.
Cocktails are always on the menu and there are some delicious concoctions to try including: Dr Pepper Cuba Libre with Cuban spiced Havana Club rum and Dr Pepper and Biscoff ‘nitro’ espresso martinis with Stoli Vanilla and a toasted marshmallow (pictured). If beer is more your thing, you’ll find plenty of that, too and there’s always something new to try when you visit. To complete the campfire vibe, you’ll need some musical accompaniment and there’s plenty of local, live acts popping up. Like a good laugh? There are also regular comedy evenings.
Swadlincote is their home ‘pitch’ but you’ll also find the trailer itself at events around the area serving their amazing cocktails.
