Castle House feels like a country retreat, but is actually a city centre boutique hotel owned by a local farming family. It has won many accolades over the years because it offers customers such a special experience.
Talented executive head chef Claire Nicholls supports and knows her mainly local producers, as well as having use of an extensive kitchen garden on the family’s nearby Ballingham Hall Farm. The menus change regularly, reflecting seasonality and the versatility of the kitchen team.
Guests can eat in the Castle Restaurant, overlooking the Hereford Castle moat, or in Ballingham Bar & Bistro, which has an all-day dining/light bite menu. You can also eat on the pretty garden terrace – a must in the summer!
The hotel prides itself on its reputation for showcasing the best of Herefordshire’s food, drink and hospitality.
