Delapré Abbey

The estate at Delapré occupies nearly 600 acres and in terms of dining options, there are plenty – from The Orangery cafe where you can enjoy afternoon tea, to the fine dining at Hibiscus Restaurant. There’s also a dog-friendly takeaway called Common Ground that’s perfect for those exploring the grounds.

Delapré Abbey has around 900 years of history to take in, beginning life as a nunnery and growing significantly over the years. You could visit every day and there would still be plenty to learn! Hibiscus restaurant is a destination in itself – located in the beautiful Billiard Room within the abbey itself. Chef Sam Squires has really put the restaurant on the culinary map and during his two years the restaurant has been awarded an AA rosette and grown in popularity. The offering centres around a monthly tasting menu with innovative, seasonal dishes with accompanying wines.

If you’re seeking something a little less formal, The Orangery is the place to go – choose from breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. You can sit inside or head out and enjoy the view.
