Hamilton’s Butchers & The Cheeky Pig
Based in the Nottinghamshire village of Farnsfield, Hamilton’s Butchers is a fantastic shop. Matt, a former policeman, and his partner Marsha, took over the former butcher’s shop (JK Parr) in 2020 and also added the Cheeky Pig Takeaway in the old bakery on the side of the building.
Their customers rave about the quality of the meat and the homemade sausage rolls always fly off the shelves. When we visited, we had a takeaway bacon roll and it was delicious! Inside the butcher’s shop, you’ll find plenty of inspiration for cooking up a hearty dinner on any day of the week with many different cuts to choose from. The team is always on hand to give you a warm welcome and provide expert advice should you need any help deciding what to buy.
If you fancy picking up some lunch, head to the takeaway for freshly-made sandwiches (made with Welbeck Bakehouse bread), Stokes coffee (from Lincoln) plus plenty of sweet treats.
