The Hidden Bakery
The Hidden Bakery in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, is an independent café and bakery.
Co-owner Heidi Mather, who has bags of hospitality experience, together with partner Andy and talented chef & barista Liam have created a wonderful bakery, coffee shop and diner. A trip here will yield excellent artisan bread and cakes, first-rate coffee, breakfasts and brunches.
For brunch, how about their ‘Awesome Avo’ – smashed avocado, cheesy omelette, hash browns and house mayonnaise served on a sourdough bun? Or maybe ‘Three Little Pigs’ – sausage patty, ham, bacon, cheese, sauteed onion & peppers, hash brown & piri piri sauce on a brioche bun?
On our visit The Hidden Bakery introduced us to to their ‘Duffin’ – a delicious muffin-doughnut hybrid. We also took home a large sourdough loaf which was as good as any we’ve tried.
