Homeboys

Homeboys of Nottingham was shortlisted in the Great Food Club Awards 2017/18 and cooks mouthwatering Asian street food. It is the creation of Masterchef 2015 finalist Pete Hewitt, who often serves his dishes from a converted 1978 Chevrolet Step-van. The combination of superb Asian street food and eye-catching chevy van ensures Homeboys makes a big impression – visually and taste-wise – when catering for any party or wedding.

During judging for the GFC Awards, we tried one of its Taiwanese fried chicken sandwiches at Nottingham Street Food Club at the Victoria Centre. We were impressed by the outstandingly succulent chicken and crisp, well-spiced batter, all of which was presented carefully.

Other Homeboys dishes include karaage wings (Japanese fried chicken wings with ginger vinaigrette and mayo) and katsu sandu (panko chicken breast on a milk roll, tonkatsu and house sauce). We recommend you seek this street-food purveyor out whenever you can. And if you need some cool and tasty party catering, Homeboys could be just the ticket.
