La Coppola is a bit of an institution in Leamington Spa. From its array of tempting produce outside the front door to its warm Italian welcome and authentic dishes, it has an army of loyal customers as well as impressing those who stumble upon it.
The restaurant opened in 2008 and head chef Fabio Giacalone and his team pride themselves on using top-notch ingredients, many sourced directly from Italy. The menu ranges from all the traditional pastas and risottos you’d expect, to some excellent grilled dishes and a good selection of seafood. Our favourites were a generous bruschetta antipasti and a perfectly executed panna cotta.
The decor is rustic and traditional, with frescos adorning the walls upstairs and indoor trees complete with fairy lights, creating an authentic feel. The service is traditional and attentive – formal without being stuffy – making La Coppola a great place for a range of occasions, from special celebrations to romantic meals for two.
