This is a superb and intimate independent French restaurant serving fabulous food, lovingly prepared by the owners Yves and Elisabeth, using fantastic local and traditional French ingredients.
The couple’s first restaurant in England was in Thorpe Satchville, Leicestershire – a stone’s throw from GFC HQ in Melton Mowbray. Before this they owned a restaurant in Provence. L’Artisan reflects this heritage, being known for its traditional Provencal feel and atmosphere. The couple have also run stylish restaurants in Paris.
Head chef Yves believes “a plate of food should be a work of art” offering contrasting flavours and textures. Expect hearty, home-cooked French-style food prepared and presented with panache – standards are high yet prices are reasonable.
The authentic menu features plenty of delicious options and is updated regularly. Check out the menu online and be sure to book well ahead.
