Les Garrigues is a fabulous shop situated amongst the hustle and bustle of the Norwich Lanes. Stepping into Les Garrigues is a sanctuary for food and wine lovers: you’ll be greeted by passionate owner Damien Cabinis and engaged in informative conversation about French food and wine: its provenance, taste, history and more.
As his name suggests, Damien Cabinis is French (with the most alluring accent). He uses his knowledge to source the best quality produce with the best flavours, much of it from his region of origin, the Languedoc.
The shop is small and welcoming with a familiar French feel which is difficult to put your finger on. It’s possibly the large stainless steel vats of wine available to refill your own bottles. Damien is very proud of the impact this service has on the environment, with the UK consuming approximately one million tonnes of green glass every year. Les Garrigues offers a simple refill service: bring your own bottle (or buy your first to start off with), taste, choose and fill. Cost-effective and environmentally friendly!
Open Tuesday and Wednesday 10am-6pm; Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am-10pm.
