Little Valley Brewery
Little Valley Brewery is a family-run organic brewery, founded in 2005. All their beers are brewed, bottled and branded high on the Yorkshire Pennine moorland of Cragg Vale, just outside Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Within days of officially opening, Little Valley Brewery’s Stoodley Stout won Beer of the Festival at Smithfield Beer Festival in Manchester.
Their story began when master brewer Wim van der Spek met co-owner Sue Cooper on a cycling trip to Tibet. Over a decade later, the team, range and business have all grown into something they are proud to call Little Valley Brewery. They use traditional methods and 100% natural ingredients to create a core range of organic beers, each doted on for up to 28 days.
All the beers are vegan friendly as they are produced without isinglass, a clarifying agent, which is obtained from fish bladders. One is LVB X (10% ABV), an organic barley wine that is rich, bold and dark with hints of raisin and a strong malty backbone.
We also recommended Tod’s Blonde (5% ABV), a blonde ale with a pleasant malty taste and a smooth bitter finish. It’s a good alternative to lager and best served with a crisp salad… or fish and chips.
From the light and hoppy to the bold and malty, Little Valley Brewery beers are unique and all are available to buy online.
