Nene View Dairy
Geoff and Christine Tywell run award-winning Nene View Dairy on Redlands Farm. The cheese is produced on-site in small batches every two or three days. They produce a wide selection of different hard goats’ cheeses. These include Togglers – a Wensleydale style cheese; Skyver – similar to a double Gloucester; and Redlands – a red Leicester style cheese. A full list of varieties can be found on the Nene View Dairy website.
A lot of the cheeses made at Nene View Dairy are named after terms from the boot and shoe industry that made Northamptonshire famous.
Their Skyver cheese has won both New Local Product of the Year in the Carlsberg Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards (2015/16) and a Silver Award at the 2016 Melton Mowbray Artisan Cheese Awards. The Redlands cheese won a Great Taste Award in 2015.
You can buy Nene View Dairy cheeses at several stockists in the area including Beckworth Emporium and Farndon Fields Farm Shop. Geoff and Christine can also often be found at local food events such as the Althorp Food Festival and the Melton Mowbray Artisan Cheese Fair. And keep an eye out for Nene View Diary cheese in flatbreads made by Great Food Club favourite Replete Flatbreads.
