Purecraft Bar & Kitchen
Birmingham’s Purecraft Bar & Kitchen is a beautifully designed, open-plan bar and restaurant that’s devoted to delivering interesting craft beers, beautiful food and exceptional service. The bar aims to perfectly match beer with food at every opportunity, although people who aren’t huge fans of beer certainly won’t be disappointed by what’s on offer, or by the classy environment.
It’s not surprising this place has a passion for fine food and great beer because it was developed by a team with skill in both areas. It is run by Pure Craft Bars Ltd, which is a partnership between Andreas Antona of Michelin-starred Simpsons of Birmingham and The Cross of Kenilworth; Martin Hilton, previously operations director with Mitchells & Butlers; and Paul Halsey, managing director of Purity Brewing of Warwickshire – a forward-thinking, creative brewer that’s been around since 2005.
When you walk into Purecraft Bar & Kitchen you’re immediately impressed by the spaciousness, the stripped-back modern feel and the superb lighting. Then you’re blown away by the excellent array of beers from all over the world and the simple menu that promises world-class comfort food like Dunkel Beer BBQ Chicken and Pot Roasted Cod, Chickpeas & Forest Pig Chorizo.
When Great Food Club dined here we were amazed by the sheer variety of people who walked in, from students, to young families with children, to retired couples. This is a refreshing take on the bar-restaurant from people with a passion for great beer and equally fine food.
