The Anchor
This delightful 350-year-old pub with accommodation stands on the bank of the New Bedford River – an area alive with wildlife.
The Anchor’s kitchen is renowned for high standards of cooking using local ingredients. Expect to see hand-dressed crabs from Cromer, Brancaster oysters and mussels, samphire, fresh local asparagus, and venison from the Denham Estate. In the winter there’s also local pheasant, partridge, pigeon and wild duck on the menu.
The Anchor features in all of the major food guides including the Good Food Guide, Good Pub Guide, Michelin Guide, Which Guide to Country Pubs, and Which Hotel Guide.
On a sunny summer’s day there are not many better places to be!
