The Cellar Door
The Cellar Door is a stylish and contemporary restaurant, café and bar in the heart of Hereford city centre, specialising in modern British cuisine.
The fine-dining restaurant is an intimate first-floor space seating up to 30 people. It has an open kitchen allowing diners to see the chefs preparing all the food, which is selected and cooked to celebrate innovation, seasonality, sustainability and home-grown produce. The menu changes regularly to reflecting the seasons but you will always find succulent meat dishes, adventurous vegetarian creations and the freshest fish.
The Cellar Door prides itself on the use of high quality, locally sourced produce and frequently cooks with ingredients from their own restaurant garden. Head chef Josh Donachie – a 2015 Masterchef Professionals finalist – leads the kitchen, putting his culinary talents and original approach to great effect. Customer response so far – The Cellar Door opened in May 2016 – has been phenomenal.
There is a spacious café in addition to the restaurant, and here you can enjoy good quality food and drink throughout the day including signature breakfasts, freshly prepared lunches and light bites, freshly ground coffee and the finest teas.
In the evening The Cellar Door’s bar comes alive, offering fresh cocktails crafted by mixologists, plus wines, ales and ciders.
