The Folly Tearoom sits in a picturesque courtyard on the former site of an 18th century coaching inn, just off the main Holt shopping area.
From 9am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, you can pop in to enjoy breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and early-evening bites, either inside the charming tearoom itself or outside in the beautiful enclosed garden. Later in the evening, The Folly is available for party bookings and tea-tasting parties.
There are several afternoon tea options. The ‘Folly Traditional’ includes sandwiches (fillings change according to the season), scones with jam and clotted cream, and miniature cakes. ‘Gentleman’s Folly’, meanwhile, is a more savoury option with sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche slices, chutney and scones. The tearoom is licensed, so you can have a glass of fizz with your afternoon tea should you wish.
Tea drinkers will delight in the 29 varieties of tea listed on the menu, including Choco Folly, Banoffee and Gin & Elderflower, as well as a selection of herbal infusions such as Honey Almond Rose and Rooibos Caramel Chai.
The Folly can get busy during holiday season and booking is recommended.
