It’s hard to avoid the Fruit Pig Company at food events and farmers’ markets in Norfolk, especially if you’re a fan of gluten-free food. It’s worth joining the inevitable queue and tasting their gluten-free, nitrate-free and nitrite-free rare-breed products. They’re well worth the wait, we assure you.
Matt Cockin and Grant Harper, owners of the Fruit Pig Company, didn’t set out to become gluten, nitrate and nitrite-free experts but due to the nature and quality of their products, they found they were on the right path without trying: they make their own mixes and never bulk out products for the sake of economy.
The Fruit Pig Company offer traditional sausages, beef, lamb, mutton and fowl but also pride themselves on their rare-breed, free-range charcuterie, including gluten-free black pudding, white pudding morcilla, pancetta and more.
