The Saracens Head Inn
The family-run Saracens Head Inn has stood for centuries on the east bank of the River Wye and is popular with walkers, cyclists, canoeists, fishermen and fans of good food. It is perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean.
It has a well-deserved reputation for quality food using fresh ingredients, which are locally sourced where possible. A wide variety of dishes are served, changing seasonally. The pub takes real pride in serving its visitors with some of the best local produce in the country and many of the dishes have a strong flavour of the Wye Valley, Gloucestershire and the Welsh Borders.
Animal welfare is important to the owners and meat is sourced from producers who treat their stock humanely, sustainably and with care for the environment.
Customers can eat and drink in the flag-floored bar, cosy lounge, restaurant or on the riverside terraces, which are the ideal place to watch the hand ferry transport people across the river.
This is a great place to visit – you will love it.
