The Trickling Tap

It would be simplistic to describe the Trickling Tap as an off-licence. Yes, it sells alcohol by the bottle, but what bottles! Over 100 different whiskies, more than 60 craft gins (not a bottle of Gordon’s in sight), tropical rums, fancy vodkas, warming brandies, superior and interesting liqueurs and a fine range of craft beers from across the UK – three of which came home with me, one a very local ale – Blonde Volupta from Oldershaw Beers, just outside Grantham.

The Trickling Tap is a ‘liquid deli and drinks specialist’ and in store they have refill wines, spirits, rapeseed oils, olive oils and balsamic vinegar – many of which are flavoured – on tap. The idea is that you either bring in your own bottle or get one from the shop. When your bottle is empty, simply bring it back in store for a refill. This saves you money each time you refill and also helps the environment.

The Trickling Tap has managed to combine the best liquid artisan products under one roof and if you need advice, just ask. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
