The White Peacock
The White Peacock stands proudly in a fine location on Leicester’s New Walk and its smart facade and interior give it a sophisticated air. Inside, there’s a bar area that is a comfortable spot for nibbles and a pre-meal cocktail (The White Peacock prides itself on its cocktails), while the dining room opposite is as stylish as the grade-two listed building it graces.
Phil Sharpe is chef-patron at The White Peacock and his aim is to provide “affordable luxury and a consistently high level of customer service”. Phil is also committed to local sourcing and is working on a scheme he has christened ‘The White Peacock Growers’ Project’, where he teams up with Leicestershire-based growers and uses their produce in his cooking. Other local suppliers include Paul’s Catering Butchers of Lutterworth and Fosse Meadows Farm (poultry) of Frolesworth.
No children under 12 are permitted in The White Peacock during normal service. This rule may be relaxed by prior arrangement for special occasions.
