The Windmill Inn at Wymeswold
Those who dine at The Windmill Inn often comment on the generous portion size and it’s true – you will most definitely leave feeling full and content. The vast menu includes traditional pub grub such as fish and chips, honey and mustard roast ham and Chateaubriand (Hereford cattle, 16oz) for two to share.
Vegetarians and vegans are well-catered for, too – five bean chilli & jackfruit potato skins and cauliflower steak with sautéed spinach are just two of the delicious dishes.
This is a proper village pub but with a contemporary twist – wood-burning stoves, a large terraced area and a beer garden that is perfect for post-work drinks with friends. The Windmill is part of Leicestershire’s Little Britain Pub Company who also run The Curzon Arms at Woodhouse Eaves, The Bluebell Inn at Rothley and The Langton Arms, Church Langton.
