The Three Crowns
The Three Crowns at Wymeswold is as relaxing and laid-back a pub as you’ll find. This cosy village local has kept its pubby character fully in tact, resulting in a comfortable, lived-in feel that makes you want to stay for as long as possible.
The food is hearty and tasty – expect large portions and well-put-together pub classics. Nothing too delicate or fancy – although we dare say the kitchen team could produce more subtle dishes if they wanted to – but very decent, nicely cooked and satisfying Sunday roasts, fish and chips, bangers and mash, and pies.
On our visit the service was a cut above – friendly and considerate. The cask beer had clearly been well looked after, too.
This pub – part of the Cat & Wickets Pub Company – relishes being a genuine village pub and plays to its strengths, and it’s all the better for it.
