Farming couple Tori and Ben Stanley raise Longhorn beef and prize-winning lamb, which they sell in their farm shop and butchery in Kings Newton, Derbyshire.
The Stanley family has been farming since 1807 so it’s in the blood! The farm now comprises Park Farm at Melbourne and Woodhouse Farm at Diseworth; the livestock roam across the old grass meadows of the Melbourne Estate and Langley Priory Estate.
They say: “At Tori & Ben’s Farm, we do things properly – from the breeding and care of our pedigree Longhorn cattle and pedigree Texel, Jacob & Portland sheep, to the way it’s dry-aged and expertly butchered on site. For us farming isn’t a job or a business – it’s a passion.
“At Park Farm in Melbourne we have created our farm. Our shop in Kings Newton, just a mile from the farm fields, sits at the heart of the community. Everything we sell is either reared at the farm or sourced locally from high-quality suppliers. Our food comes from responsible, environmentally-friendly farming. And we produce delicious, natural, free-range, grass & herb fed meat. It’s ethical, honest, sustainable, and the best you’ll taste.”
Their farm shop in Kings Newton is open six days a week. Here you can buy dry-aged beef and grass-fed lamb, plus free-range pork and chicken along with other culinary delights and wines.
