Demos at Olive Branch and Red Lion

Olive Branch and Red Lion Inn head chef and co-owner Sean Hope is running a series of seasonal cookery demonstration at his pubs.

Having attended a previous demonstration at the Red Lion (where these pictures were taken), Great Food can heartily recommend them, not least for the excellent lunch guests are treated to after the demo, cooked by Sean and his team.

The dates are as follows:
Tuesday July 12, Red Lion Inn, Stathern, Leics
Tuesday July 19, Olive Branch, Clipsham, Rutland
Tuesday October 11, Red Lion Inn
Tuesday October 18, Olive Branch
Tuesday December 6, Red Lion Inn
Tuesday December 13, Olive Branch

The day begins at 10am with coffee before sitting down to watch and learn as Sean creates starter, main course and pudding, while offering practical tips and taking questions. You then get to eat what you’ve seen cooked and enjoy a complementary glass of wine.

Recipes for each dish are given to all attendees and prices are £40 or £45 per head, depending on the venue.

The menu for the next demo:

  • Red Lion Greek-style salad
  • Slow-roast pork belly, buttered leeks, apple sauce
  • Pistachio & passionfruit pavlova + summer fruits
