One new deli and one new farm shop

A new deli and bistro/café has opened in Market Harborough.

Called Simply Simon’s, the delicatessen will sell seasonal, local and fresh ingredients, while the adjoining bistro/café will “combine seasonal produce to create simple and exciting dishes”.

“We’re really excited about our new venture,” said Simon Matthews, who is running the new deli with wife June Matthews. “We used to be garden designers, but we’ve always loved food and have gathered experience working in food retail and restaurants over the two years before setting up Simply Simon’s.”

“We have recruited a great team of staff and are sure we’ll learn lots over the coming weeks and months. We look forward to running a successful, happy and fulfilling business in the years to come.”

Simply Simon’s is at 23 Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough.

Meanwhile, Langton Farm Shop has opened just south of East Langton, near Market Harborough.

Despite not being connected to a farm, Langton Farm Shop does stock an interesting range of locally sourced produce, including Helsham Chocolates, Ringswood Ice Cream, Welland Valley Vineyard wine and Langton beers.

Situated on the B6047, the farm shop is next door to proprietor Tom Byrne’s Langton Stone Company.
