Nottingham is the newest member of the Public family, joining its older sisters in Loughborough and Mountsorrel. Public is a communal space where people congregate to chat, work and enjoy a coffee, and maybe buy a houseplant or three! It welcomes all comers including families, students, remote workers friends enjoying a weekend coffee at communal tables. It’s no laptops on the weekends though!
The Public team pride themselves on converting interesting and historic buildings and the Nottingham branch is no different. This site was a former TSB building in the heart of Low Pavement. The Public team celebrate the charm of original architecture to add character to their spaces, but fuse it with their own creativity and style.
They believe in good coffee that isn’t complicated. And they bake bread fresh daily for their range of sandwiches. And it’s definitely worth picking up a sourdough, a classic tin loaf, or a fluffy focaccia to take home! The star of the show is definitely their Nutella-stuffed croissants though!
