The Bell at Frisby

The Bell at Frisby is a shining example of a proper village pub, saved and now owned by its community. In 2022, 258 local shareholders raised over £300,000 to preserve this much-loved hostelry, and today it’s thriving. Warm, friendly and full of character, it offers a menu of homemade classics alongside well-kept local ales from the likes of Round Corner and Charnwood Brewery.

Dishes include comforting chicken schnitzel with garlic mushroom sauce, Cajun-spiced cauliflower tacos and excellent beer-battered haddock with tartar sauce, chips and mushy peas. Vegetarians and vegans are thoughtfully catered for, and Sunday roasts are a big draw.

We loved the atmosphere — relaxed, welcoming and full of heart. Manager Dave, head chef Sam and their passionate team have created something special. Whether you’re after a quiet pint, hearty lunch or live music night, this dog-friendly pub is well worth seeking out.
