BBC Three seeks Young Baker of Year

BBC producers are searching for talented young bakers to star in a TV programme to air later this year.

BBC Three’s Young Baker of the Year wants to find 16-25 year olds who are up for a challenge and keen to show off their skills.

It plans to invite 100 to an audition where they will face a written test and an interview panel of industry experts to ensure they have the knowledge and potential to take the national title.

Twenty will be picked to complete a hands-on skills test and judges will then decide which four will go forward to the filming of the show in September. The final four will face challenges based on the skills of their trade.

The BBC’s Young Talent of the Year programme is now in its third series and has previously unearthed young stars of butchery, fishmongery and cheffing.
