This family-run farm shop, just off the Baslow road near Chesterfield, is in a beautiful part of the Derbyshire countryside. And on the drive up to Adam’s Happy Hens Farm Shop, you’ll likely see goats, pigs, emus, horses and of course, plenty of free-roaming hens!
Once you get there, make sure you have plenty of space in your car’s boot for some bedding plants and flowers, and, of course, boxes of eggs! Inside the shop you’ll find plenty of quality local farm produce, fresh vegetables, chutneys and breads.
On a daily basis, you’ll find freshly baked sausage rolls, pork pies and pasties, plus there’s always fresh meat and roasting joints available. And for those with a sweet tooth, be sure to pick up a cookie slab or tray bake. But don’t miss the chance to just relax with a coffee enjoying the view over the Derbyshire countryside!
For those with kids, look out for ‘Little Farmers’ stay-and-play sessions. Plus with all the animals around, it’s a lovely spot for a kids’ party.
