The Crown Inn at Broughton

The Crown is a small and charming Grade II-listed pub in the attractive Cambridgeshire village of Broughton near Huntingdon. The building originally housed a saddlery. The menu includes pub classics as well as more adventurous dishes and makes good use of local and seasonal produce.

On our lunchtime visit, we ordered fish and chips and enjoyed lightly battered haddock with mushy peas and the best chips we’ve had for some time. Also: a perfectly cooked steak ciabatta sandwich.

Broughton is home to an original “lock-up” dating back to 1840 – so beware any unruly revellers leaving the pub!

An excellent pub in a beautiful village.
