Kilo Wines

Quorn-based Kilo Wines came about to showcase fine, affordable Italian wines from small, family-run vineyards directly to the consumer. In particular, founder Nick Robinson wanted to bring the wines of Italian producer Enrico Marcato – as well as those of other
passionate, independent producers – to the UK with the aim of making them available to individuals – as well as bars and restaurants.

Kilo Wines offers a relatively small, focused list that encompasses affordable wines right through to high-end hidden gems and classics. Entry-level bottles such as the fruit-driven, balanced Origini Primitivo from Puglia offer terrific value. Canella Prosecco and the Amarone-style ‘Duo’ from Enrico Marcato are best-sellers, while at the upper end, Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino also feature.
