Six Hills Café, Bakery & Pizzeria
Six Hills Café, Bakery & Pizzeria has just won Café of the Year in our Great Food Club Awards 2021/22. Based on the A46 in Melton Mowbray, it’s an unassuming sort of place from the outside but once you step inside, you’ll be utterly amazed by what you see. A typical roadside diner, it isn’t!
Owner and chef Melo is from Sicily and first came to the area in 1997 with just £80 to his name. Melo’s heritage has inspired this venture and you’ll find delicious slices of Sicily in the pastries – the pistachio ones come highly recommended. Get there early to avoid missing out! You’ll also be able to get full English breakfasts and more.
And on Fridays and Saturdays, Six Hills turns into a pizzeria, firing out authentic Italian pizzas. Regular Sicilian Sunday lunches and pasta nights take place, too.
