Moor Farm Shop

Moor Farm Shop is a Red Tractor producer of beef and lamb located near Peterborough. “All our beef and lamb is born, fed and raised on our farm, and butchered by our skilled butcher Paul,” says proprietor and farmer Judith Jacobs. “We know the origin of everything we sell in the farm shop – it is all fully traceable.”

Moor Farm Meats also sells locally farmed pork and venison, a range of locally grown vegetables and several local products – such as Modens Plum Bread, rapeseed oil, honeys and jams. “If you buy your ingredients at Moor Farm you will be supporting local farmers and producers, and you can be sure that the meat comes from animals that have been well looked after,” says Judith.

Group farm tours can be arranged for Great Food Club members and their families – just ask in the shop or give Moor Farm a call. “We have a small flock of 100 ewes that lamb around Easter, plus 50 suckler cows, a bull called Roy, and free range chickens, ducks and geese. We also grow wheat, sugar beet, oilseed rape, grass and potatoes. We’re passionate about British farming and hopefully can inspire our customers to feel the same.”

Member offer:

5 x 454g (1lb) packs of Red Tractor produced stewing beef or mince for only £15. Please show your membership card in the shop.

  1. Sarah Jackson says:

There’s nothing not to like about this farm shop and Judith and her staff. The quality of the meat is excellent. Everyone loves the camera in the corner of the shop which films the owls nesting in the barn too! It’s also nice to know that spending your money there helps the community work which Judith and her family and staff do in the area.
