Video: Great Food story covered by BBC

BBC TV news programme East Midlands Today has run an extensive news item on a story created by Great Food Magazine.

After sending the programme a copy of our unique Midlands Brewery Map, the show’s producers contacted us to film a two-minute piece for their 6.3opm show, broadcast on March 13.

Great Food magazine travelled to Derby’s Dancing Duck Brewery, where the cameras rolled to shed light on the fact that Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire contain a very large number of microbreweries.

In fact, our Brewery Map reveals that the area around Nottingham and Derby is home to what could well be Britain’s most densely packed grouping of breweries.

You can watch the two-minute video below, courtesy of East Midlands Today. Great Food Editor Matt Wright is interviewed half way through the news item. Apologies for the slightly clunky video functionality.

The author:

Matt lives in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. He is passionate about the independent food & drink sector and founded Great Food Club in 2010 after being inspired by local producers near his home town.
