Melton Cheeseboard awards success
Great Food Club member business The Melton Cheeseboard of Windsor Street, Melton Mowbray, has reached the final of the Best Cheese Retailer category at the British Cheese Awards in Cardiff.
Sponsored by Speciality Food Magazine, the awards were designed to find and recognise retailers with a genuine passion for local food and artisan British farmhouse cheeses.
As well as locally sourced food, the judges looked for diversity and quality of the cheeses, as well as a wide background knowledge and passion to engage and inspire customers.
Owner of the Melton Cheeseboard, Tim Brown, said: “We’re really proud to make it this far in this prestigious award.”
