Charnwood Brewery

Charnwood Brewery is a family-run producer of cask beer based in Loughborough that launched in 2014. The husband-and-wife team of Andrew and Andrea Reed, together with their children George, Millie and Alexander (not forgetting Izzy the dog), brew two core beers – Salvation (a golden 3.8% beer) and Vixen (a 4% copper-coloured ale) – plus a varied selection of 24 monthly specials, ranging from wheat beers to IPAs to American pale ales.

Andrew has a life-long passion for ale and plenty of industry experience, and children George, Alexander and Millie have the “brains, brawn and youthful exuberance to help the olds!” Andrea, meanwhile, has been training with Sara Barton, the award-winning founder of Brewster’s Brewery in Grantham.

You can buy Charnwood Brewery beers from the brewery gates or from a variety of local shops and pubs – the brewery shop is open on Thurdays (3pm-6pm), Fridays (12 noon-6pm) and Saturdays (10am-12 noon).
