Cidentro Cider House
In 2016, former civil engineer Hiranthi Cook and her husband Matthew planted 540 cider apple trees in Twyford near Melton Mowbray. Since then, they tended those trees while developing the Cidentro brand. The pair have built a large cider house next to the orchard, signalling their intention to keep growing and evolving.
Their trees produce a range of wonderful cider apples with compelling names, including Katy, Dabinett, Lord Derby and Kingston Black. Each autumn, Hiranthi, Matthew and the team press, blend and ferment the juice (they also buy in a few other apples, too). The result is delicious 100%-juice ciders, including one they mix with Pinot Noir to make a superb rosé.
Cidentro is a fantastic new field-to-glass producer – you can order their delicious cider online.
