Lady Bay Pop-Up Cafe
Virender Rose set up her pop-up cafe in her local neighbourhood in Lady Bay, Nottingham, in 2020 after being furloughed from her job. Her family had always enjoyed her delicious Indian meals and this inspired her to share her tasty dishes with the public. All meals come chilled in environmentally-friendly packaging and are ready to heat up at home in just a few minutes.
These dishes are modern interpretations of Indian classics including – tandoori, dahls, saag and aloo gobi, and there’s lots on the menu that is suitable for vegans. Okra pies topped with kulonji/onion seeds and homegrown nasturtiums, sholay (spicy chickpeas), Punjabi fish masala with a spiced orange wedge, cardomom rice pudding with honeycomb, alfonso mango and rum crumble are just a taste of what you can expect at the next pop-up.
