Le Mistral is located in the historic market town of Wirksworth – ‘Gem of the Peaks’. Offering French bistro-style dining, a fantastic drinks menu and a friendly serving style, it’s perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
Le Mistral is situated in the town centre – a great spot for people-watching, Parisian cafe style! On entering the building, the bar is on the left with tables to the right. You can see through into the kitchen, making it a pleasant place to sit with a coffee while you read the papers – but also a lovely spot for lunch and dinner. There’s a large cavern-style basement dining area too, all decked out French paraphernalia.
All the food is freshly prepared and cooked to order. The lunch menu is vast including salads, omelettes, linguine, a variety of croques, main meals and desserts. We chose the moules mariniere, served with French fries and fresh bread. It was excellent.
The evening a la carte menu offers a fantastic array of classic French dishes, catering for all dietary requirements. Le Mistral doubles up as a wine shop too, so you’re guaranteed a great choice of drinks.
Whether you fancy coffee and a pastry or a full dining experience, Le Mistral is a delightful space.
