Nuovo in the bustling heart of Northampton specialises in small plates inspired by Venetian cuisine – or cicchetti as they are known in Italy – and bespoke, high quality cocktails.
Nuovo is a former winner in the Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards. It’s a stylish, laid-back restaurant, and the food is a delight. On our visit, we shared three dishes – pesto-crusted chicken, Ravioli of the Day, and a lovely fennel, orange and black olive salad. All were carefully put together, nicely cooked and full of flavour. A few other dishes caught our eye for next time – quince-glazed pork belly, duck with mustard fruit, and an almond & damson tart.
Prices are reasonable, the drinks list is tempting and the staff are helpful and welcoming. Nuovo is a real winner.
