Stylish, understated and effortlessly cool, Raymond’s is an exciting addition to Nottingham’s Lace Market.
Specialising in small plates and great wine, it delivers skilful cooking with imagination and flair. Highlights from our recent visit included the purple sprouting broccoli with ajo blanco and chilli oil, and a sensational mutton ‘scrumpet’ with pickled red pepper and grilled apple sauce.
Other inventive dishes include fish crackling with tartare sauce, courgette with scamorza and pistachio, and braised ox cheek with pomme purée.
The wine list is excellent, particularly the skin-contact options – our Viognier blend and Muscat were bursting with flavour.
Added to the Michelin Guide just four months after opening, Raymond’s is already turning heads. Head chef-owner Marcus Lewsley and his team are creating food with real identity and confidence.
