Blue Monkey Brewery
There’s a pint and then there’s a pint – if you’re after something that really hits the spot, may we recommend Blue Monkey Brewery? Based in Giltbrook, the brewery produces award-winning beers including BP Sips Pale Ale (4% ABV) and Infinity IPA Golden Ale (4.6% ABV). If you like your IPA strong, Infinity Plus 1 at 5.6% ABV might be one for you – while those with a sweeter tooth will enjoy Blubarb & Custard – a fruit beer with an ABV of 4.8%.
The brewery runs four lively pubs (all called The Organ Grinder) in Loughborough, Newark, Nottingham and Arnold where you’ll of course, be able to sample these beers.
You can also order beer online in cases of 12x 500ml bottles and 5L casks. Not only that but the brewery also has a range of pork scratchings. A pint and a packet of pork scratchings – one of life’s little pleasures indeed!
